Tour Details

This is an exclusive tour, an unparalleled experience, a dip in one of the richest and most engaging chapters of history of our time. We will visit 3 of the best-known archaeological areas in Campania: the excavations of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Wine Tasting. Pompeii was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site thanks to the presence of civil and private buildings, monuments, sculptures, paintings and mosaics of great importance for the history of archeology and for antiquity. The visitor entering through one of the ancient gates can cross the remains of ancient roads and admire houses, shops, the Forum, sacred areas, thermal complexes, theaters, amphitheater, monumental tombs and much more. Wine tour will occur around Vesuvius Volcano, where there is a breathtaking wine yard where they grow particular grapes in order to make a great wine known as lacrimal de Christi, which means the tears of Christ. This is thanks to the volcanic soil. You can test different types of wine as well eat authentic Italian food. This is an additional cost that starts at €32 per person or more, depending what you choose from the menu.   Includes 4 different wine tastings plus lunch. Herculaneum is a famous archaeological site located about 10 km from Naples on the eastern side of Vesuvius and close to the sea. In 62 AD a strong earthquake destroyed many factories, and seventeen years later (79 AD) the terrible eruption of Vesuvius completely buried the city. The excavations offer visitors the beauty of private houses and villas that still retain charred furniture, organic finds and multiple wooden elements belonging to the structural and architectural parts of the buildings. You can request a certified Campania Region Tourist Guide by contacting us after you have completed your purchase and received your Voucher. Please note that entrance to the Pompeii Archaeological site is not included and costs € 19 per person. Please note that entrance to the Herculaneum Archaeological site is not included and costs € 13 per person.
