Tour Details

With this excursion, you will discover two beautiful cities in the Tuscany region, Pisa and Cinque Terre.

Pisa is of Etruscan origin and was a substantial Roman naval base. Its most celebrated attraction today, the Leaning Tower, has become, along with the Coliseum, gondolas, and spaghetti, a symbol for the entire Italian Republic. You can visit the "Field of Miracles" and see the Leaning Tower, the cathedral, the "Campo Santo" cemetery, the Baptistery, and the cathedral museum. A few years ago, after a long restoration, the tower was reopened, and now you can go to the top to admire the view. The climb to the top is an experience, as you can feel the "lean" in the structure while you wind your way to the peak.

Cinque Terre Explore five miles of spectacular rocky coast, two promontories, thousands of kilometers of dry walls built on terraces cultivated with vineyards, and discover five medieval fishing villages built on rocks.

Often referred to as the "Five Lands," Italy's famous Cinque Terre region comprises five unique and charming fishing villages, each with its color characteristics - Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, or Riomaggiore. You will see a dramatic cliff-topped coastline, the bustling villages, and the surrounding green hillsides all combine together to form the breathtaking Cinque Terre National Park.

Drive south until you reach one of the five towns in Riomaggiore. Walk independently through this town and reach the breathtaking "Via dell'Amore," a romantic walkway carved out of the cliffs. You"ll arrive in the second town, Manarola, in about 15 minutes, where you can take the train or boat to Vernazza.

Stop during your private excursion to have traditional lunch(own expense) in one of the typical restaurants. If you want, buy the "Cinque Terre" pass for the trains. This pass allows unlimited transportation between the towns and includes entrance to "Via dell'Amore" and the bus service to Corniglia, the town on the hill, high above the coast.

Your exact itinerary will be fine-tuned on the day of your tour, depending on weather conditions and preferences. Your trip may include a swim in the calm waters of the Ligurian Sea or take a leisurely cliff-side hike along the Via dell'Amore trails( suitable for all ages and abilities).
