The tour will start picking you up from Messina port. We take the highway Messina / Catania; we leave the sea level and start to climb towards the summit of Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. Before we reach our destination, we cross the Etna National Park (Unesco Patrimony since 2013) and some Sicilian villages such as Santa Venerina and Zafferana with a stop to taste the typical Sicilian products. Then we get to the craters Silvestri (7000 ft.). The landscape of the big craters is fantastic, and you will admire the large lava flows created by past eruptions. On the road, we enjoy the great vineyards of Etna and the farms overlooking the coast of Catania. The tour continues to Taormina, an ancient Greek colony with its unique pedestrian path, the Greek theatre, monuments, shops, famous restaurants and pubs, and much more. The last stop in Messina is the Cathedral, with its unique and spectacular clock astrological/astronomical (the largest in the world). In Messina, we will visit the city center, the impressive cathedral, the monuments, and the famous viewpoint of Cristo Re, where we can admire the Strait of Messina and the harbor. The next stop is Savoca, a fantastic village, one of the most beautiful Italian villages. Here we will visit the Cathedral, the medieval area, and the famous Bar Vitelli, then stop for the almond wine tasting. If we have time, we will also visit the village of Castelmola during our tour in Taormina. Castelmola is a small and enchanting village just above Taormina, with a fantastic landscape and a great view of Mount Etna and the incredible landscape of Giardini-Naxos bay.
