Description
Catania, for its number of inhabitants, is the second largest city in Sicily, and it is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. The city is a mix of ancient and modern; the baroque is the dominant element of the city but is perfectly integrated with the new modern part.
The city’s historic center is full of shops, bars, restaurants, and typical Sicilian clubs. After visiting Catania, we will move along the coast to the seaside towns of Aci Castello and Aci Trezza, two picturesque coastal villages famous for fishing.
After a comprehensive tour of the two villages, we reach the town of Acireale, where it’s possible to admire Duomo Square, the splendid historic buildings and the Baroque churches.
