Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius

This is an exclusive tour, an unparalleled experience, a dip in one of the richest and most engaging chapters of history of our time. We will visit 3 of the best-known archaeological areas in Campania: the excavations of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. Pompeii was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site thanks to the presence of civil and private buildings, monuments, sculptures, paintings and mosaics of great importance for the history of archeology and for antiquity. The visitor entering through one of the ancient gates can cross the remains of ancient roads and admire houses, shops, the Forum, sacred areas, thermal complexes, theaters, amphitheater, monumental tombs and much more. Herculaneum is a famous archaeological site located about 10 km from Naples on the eastern side of Vesuvius and close to the sea. In 62 AD a strong earthquake destroyed many factories, and seventeen years later (79 AD) the terrible eruption of Vesuvius completely buried the city. The excavations offer visitors the beauty of private houses and villas that still retain charred furniture, organic finds and multiple wooden elements belonging to the structural and architectural parts of the buildings. Last stop of our tour is the visit to the famous volcano Mount Vesuvius, a journey through history, geology and nature within the national park where the still active volcano is located. It will be possible to walk to the top of the crater, at about 1000 meters above sea level, from which you can admire a breathtaking view over the entire Gulf of Naples. Along the way there are naturalistic riches, fascinating landscapes, centuries-old crops, and animal and vegetable species that make the Vesuvian area one of the most fascinating places in the world.
