Pompeii,Wine Tasting and Herculaneum - Excursions from Port

During the catastrophe of 79 AD Vesuvius buried the entire city of Pompeii whose excavations today represent one of the main tourist destinations in the Campania region, as they return the image of a Roman city in its entirety. Pompeii has been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and has become a large archaeological park where you can admire the ancient Baths, the Temple of Venus, the Temple of Apollo, a pre-Roman basilica, the civil forum, the heart of the economy, religious and social life of the 'ancient city. And yet the Macellum, the Temple of Jupiter, the Temple of Vespasian, and the Sanctuary of the Public Lares were protectors of the city. Pompeii is also a succession of Pompeian houses, which were not only simple homes but domestic and sacred places simultaneously. Wine tour will occur around Vesuvius Volcano, where there is a breathtaking wine yard where they grow particular grapes in order to make a great wine known as lacrimal de Christi, which means the tears of Christ. This is thanks to the volcanic soil. You can test different types of wine as well eat authentic Italian food. This additional cost starts at E32 per person or more, depending on what you choose from the menu.  Includes 4 different wine tasting plus lunch. Herculaneum is a very famous archaeological site located about 10 km from Naples on the eastern side of Vesuvius and close to the sea. In 62 AD a strong earthquake destroyed many factories, and seventeen years later (79 AD), the terrible eruption of Vesuvius completely buried the city. The excavations offer visitors the beauty of private houses and villas that still retain charred furniture, organic finds and multiple wooden elements belonging to the structural and architectural parts of the buildings.
